Jaz-Premier.ka ? Do you have what it takes?

Ljubljana 20/02/2026 - Volt Slovenija is launching a simulator to play as the Prime Minister of Slovenia - Players must manage popularity, risk, mental health, reforms and state funding while trying to get re-elected - Volt Slovenija is not running itself but wants to help mobilise citizens to vote in the upcoming elections.

The game is available on https://jaz-premier.si/ and https://jaz-premierka.si/. It includes a card deck of 80 cards based on Slovenian politics. Players have to manage multiple objectives over 14 parliamentary sessions by playing cards and managing time.

We believe politics needs to make much more efforts to bring across the importance to vote and to engage citizens in politics. Political programs will only reach so many people. Jaz-Premier is our contribution to make these elections accessible to a broader population.

In some EU member states, apps help to pick parties based on matching ideas (like the German Wahlomat or the Dutch StimWijzer). We wanted to try a different approach and allow players to run or ruin the country. We’re hoping the game will get traction with a younger generation often less represented in politics. If it manages to convince a few to go vote on March 22nd, we will already have achieved a lot.

The game is available in Slovenian and English and is a variation of a Startup Simulator, Volt Slovenija developed over the last months. Volt Slovenija also plans to making it available beyond the elections, for example in civic education initiatives.

About Volt

Volt Slovenija is the local section of Volt, a paneuropean movement with 40.000 members in 34 European countries, 5 MEPs in the European Parliament and deputies in the Netherlands and Cyprus. Volt works for a more united Europe, that is not only economically integrated, but also includes a democratic and social dimension. Volt Slovenija is currently collecting signatures to register as a political party ahead of next year’s national elections. The party defined three priorities: benefiting from more European integration, decentralisation to reduce the cost of living and create opportunities throughout Slovenia and trust and transparency in politics.
