Citizen empowerment

Slovenia is trailing most of the European Union with almost 60% of the population having no or low trust in its government and only 15% believing the political system gives them a say. Building trust in politics will be no easy undertaking. Volt believes it will require radical transparency and significant efforts to reduce state level corruption. We also need to increase the possibilities of citizen participation and work towards making elections more representative.
