Let's get the party started
Volt is currently active in 30 European countries and we have established political parties in 18 of them. In Slovenia, we have been operating as an association, but with less than a year until our 2026 national elections, it’s time to... get the party started.
To launch, we need the signatures of 200 founding members.
What is a founding member?
Founding members will be invited to the inaugurating General Assembly. They vote for the party leadership and adopt the Statutes and Programme.
Once the party is registered, founding members can become ordinary members by registering on our platform volt.team. Anyone who does not want to, will have only helped us get the party started.
How do I sign as a founding member?
If you want to support us, you have to sign at your Upravna enota. It takes 1 minute and 3 euros. We’ve made a instructions here:

Next steps?
Once we have collected 200 signatures, we will organise the founding general assembly and party for Volta Slovenia. At this assembly, we will elect co-chairs and a board of directors, and the minutes of the event will be submitted to the relevant authorities together with the signatures, the statutes and the political programme.
This will be our first official event, likely also attened by representatives from neighbouring chapters in Austria, Hungary, Italy, Croatia and Volt Europa. Together we will celebrate the establishment of an official Volt chapter in Slovenia and become part of the wider European Volt family.
Thank you very much for your support!
